(开头段)

I study at No.3 Middle School in Haidian District. This school was founded in 1998 and now has over 2,000 students from 24 different countries. Every morning when I enter the campus through the main gate decorated with Chinese calligraphy, I always feel proud of being part of this international community.

Our curriculum follows the national standards with three main subjects: Chinese, English and Math. What makes our school special is the balanced arrangement of academic classes and practical activities. For example, in Chinese class we not only learn grammar but also practice writing traditional poems. English classes have become more interactive since last year when we started using digital whiteboards for vocabulary games. My favorite part is the weekly "Project Day" where groups present research findings using multimedia presentations.

Beyond regular classes, there are over 30 student organizations. I'm currently involved in the Environmental Protection Club and the Model United Nations team. The school's annual Science Fair is particularly impressive. Last year our team created a solar-powered model of the school building which won second prize in the city competition. After school, we have art classes, sports training and even drama workshops. Last November's school play adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland" was performed to full audiences in the new auditorium.

The campus covers 120,000 square meters with modern facilities. Our library has over 80,000 books in both Chinese and foreign languages. The rooftop garden is our favorite place for reading clubs. The new sports center opened this September has a 400-meter running track and indoor basketball court. What I appreciate most is the "Green Corridor" along the east fence where students grow vegetables and flowers as part of the biology curriculum.

Our teachers use a unique "Guiding rather than Teaching" approach. Last month when our English teacher noticed I struggled with past tense verbs, she created personalized flashcards and arranged one-on-one tutoring sessions. The student-teacher ratio is 1:15, which allows for close communication. My homeroom teacher, Mr. Li, started a "Coffee Chat" program where students can discuss career planning over coffee every Friday afternoon.

Joining the school debate team last semester completely changed my perspective. Initially nervous about public speaking, I gradually improved through weekly practice sessions. Our team won the city championship in March, and this experience taught me teamwork and critical thinking. The most valuable lesson I've learned is the importance of cultural exchange. Through pen-pal programs with students from Canada and Japan, I've learned to appreciate different educational approaches.

(总结段)

Looking back on my first nine months at No.3 Middle School, I realize it's not just a place of learning but a community of growth. The combination of academic rigor and cultural diversity has prepared me well for the challenges ahead. I'm especially excited about the upcoming school year when we'll host the International Student Festival. This experience has definitely shaped my character and broadened my worldview. As we move forward, I'm determined to make the most of every opportunity this school offers.
